concept of weird

I hate the concept of weird, and labels like good and bad.

its so frustrating to see people get made fun of for being out of ordinary just because they don't fit the oh so perfect standard of human. How things "should" be, that's not "normal" I hate labels like that, and hate people who call out and make fun of others for not being like them and enforcing their own norms by using an ugly filter on the opposing side, there is never any rhetoric just fools acting liking their position is absolute

because who the fuck are you to to make fun of someone that you yourself are not? live your own life instead of trying to make other people fit your ideals so damn bad, and even if you do atleast have the balls to use rhetoric to make an actual argument instead of just spouting words like "weird" or "because that's not normal"

I think discouraging things and people that people aren't familiar with is one of the worst flaws of the human race

I'm probably going to make this blog again someday if I can because this is something I'm really passionate about but I don't think I got it right here

no I'm not making this because I got called weird

Kudos: 2

not only this but now there's a pandemic of want to be weird, the same people who bullied you for your interests are the same ones who are 'weird' now. I think the label as a whole is just deplorable

I think it’s the same thing really, just minorities becoming more heard and romanticized then another ‘weird’ will pop up for people to pick on. who knows, maybe weird will just become another word for alternative and another “alt alternative” will pop up, it’s really the concept that’s fucked, everything is exaggerated by media tho

And honestly like, acting "normal" doesn't make you happy either, I used to try so hard and same with another girl I know. Eventually though, I stopped trying because I could never please everyone's standard, but I saw that girl keep going and she just, like, hates herself. Not that she tells me, but she left all her weird friends and she straightens her curly hair so much she damages it  and she let's go of anything she likes in favor of being "popular", so its easy to tell. But one thing I learnt myself was that I became more liked when I just went weird, I could never fit in entirely, I barely had friends for ages, but trying to be accepted makes the people who would actually accept the real you not see the real you, and the people eho you want to accept you will never fully see you as one of their own. Being "weird" isn't bad, not good either. I hate how divided everything is, my school too is really cliquey so if you don't walk in at four years old for your first day and become friends with half the class? You're screwed, nobody ever branches out or tries to talk to someone new- but that's what makes the concept of "weird", if something is weird you're just not used to it, but hanging out with people you wouldn't usually hang out with already softens the divide of weird and normal. Idk I didn't really add thay much, holy yap on my part

authenticity is way more appreciated than anything else because it comes the most naturally, and trying to be something you're not is tiring so finding good friends that accept you is important because you can feel comfortable around them, I don't mind the cliques because I dont expect everybody to like eachother but tolerance and understanding would go a long way

you worded this so perfectly omfg, like these types of people are so miserable. i'd rather be weird than anything like them. i just choose to embrace it atp, bc i've found no matter what, those people aren't ever going to be satisfied with what you do because they're unhappy in life. so it's like yeah i am weird i guess,, and im happy like??

I used to be upset in school getting called weird but now i lowk see it as a compliment id rather be weird than a boring little chav that is the same as everyone else and id much rather be happy and myself than unhappy and fit in because i have spent my whole life being depressed tryna avoid looking odd but its honestly just not worth it

Im saying this in such a roundabout way what im tryna say is love being weird xx

yes yes yes, this
