Why quitting porn is the greatest choice you could ever make

Back when I used to have a Spacehey account I made the greatest piece of writting since the oddysey: something along the lines of porn being the modern poison, and for good reason.

I discovered it for the first time when I was around 13 from a friend. It was an addiction that consumed my entire soul, all just for the need to watch videos of people with unrealistic/unlikely bodies having sex.

But, I MADE IT!I've been clean for 2 months of the need to watch those and it's amazing! To be fair tho, I didn't quit in some legendary manner... I just stopped watching it for good.

Now before telling you why it's a great thing, lemme educate you a bit about this controversial type of movie.

Pornography is well known to be a visual work involving sexual contact.Basically filmed intimate acts.Back in the day, they used to be kinda rare, since you had to find someone who not only had casettes with such things but also the right moment to watch.Fast forward to the modern age, pornography has become "mainstream" since the internet made it easily accesible to anyone, which is why it became a problem.

Teenagers started watching it, plaguing their mind with sexual content while also becoming insecure of their body (what if I look bad, what if I do not meet the standards of my lover, what if my penis is too small) and so on.It's bad, simple enough.Yet addicting. It's basically a modern mythos, full of diversity in what type of movie you'd like to watch (Normal, interracial, futa, lesbian/gay, femboy trans and so on).

But it didn't just stop at shady websites.Lustful content has made its way into the algorithms of social media platforms, where you'll meet women and men with beautiful bodies, posing very "naughty" to the camera.

Pornography and really the consuming of such can fuck you mentally bad.It can make you more anxious, less confident and just plague your mind with the undying regret that you watch such things.

It's bad.

Very bad.

However, like any addiction, if you're determined enough, or simply tired, you can give up on it.It's hard but not impossible.

I think that the main factors who could play a role in the quitting are your own thoughts, always loud about how your addiction is ruining you, or opening to someone, such as a friend. However, in the end, it's your call if you wanna quit or not.

This act can be VERY beneficial for you mentally, making your mind brighter and marking an increase in your confidence. It is a great thing to realise because, not only that is hard to quit a guilty pleasure, but it's also an addiction that  isn't really considered one, making people less likely to be more determined to help you quit, but in the end, quitting an addiction is still a great feat.

For whoever is going on thru this addiction, you are not alone. It's a difficult war that will consume you physically and mentally, but, with enough willlpower and positivity and maybe some good habits, you will emerge victorious, downing the mighty beast.

Stay strong and never let your soul get captured by lust!
