Very recently my friend has been displaying behaviour that is starting to annoy me. She doesn't let me leave and insists on milking every second out of the time we are together. It ends up dragging our hangouts far beyond what I can handle. The long hangout end with me being bitter and tired. If we were to end them at a reasonable time I'd end it feeling happy and fresh!
I'd say we've become closer in the past few weeks, and the dynamic between us is starting to freak me out as it is scarily similar to the dynamic I had with this psycho girl who used to be my friend. I mentioned this to my friend, I'd say "you know H**** used to say that...".
The dynamic freaks me out because as I said, my old friend was an obsessed psycho assaulter, so I don't want to have to go through another 12 months of exhaustion and despair uggghhhhhhhhh
If I can't shake off her behaviour, I will be saying something for sure, but for now I'm hoping the she'll take the hint. I don't appreciate my boundaries being disrespected.
But anyways its what ever, I'll live

please just tell. a ‘hint’ is not going to be effective. I’m not going to sugarcoat it because if it bugs you this bad you just have to be up front, especially to the point where it’s physically stressing you. if they don’t stop then just cut them off entirely. it sucks you’re going through these kinds of friendships and I hope it works out
Yeah, I'll tell her if she doesn't stop. I'm just trying to avoid unnecessary drama because unfortunately I know it could become an issue where she starts complaining to people behind my back and I'm not keen on friend group drama especially when I'm so close to graduating :'P. I'll definitely be telling her though cuz I'm not keen on letting it go on
