Youtube feels so overwhelming now

i feel like nobody wants to watch slow, minimally edited content anymore, or at least it isn't pushed in algorithms how it used to be. (most) videos now are about 10-12 minutes long, in which in between every sentence is a jump cut to the next, so much so you can't even hear them clearing their throat, or pausing to think. everything is a jump cut. everything is rushed, manufactured in a way that's proven to keep your attention. (often times when you don't even actually care about the topic)  

this is mostly a problem with commentary channels, but i feel like its becoming a way more prevalent problem in the gaming space as well. for example, i have genuinely seen people play games like COD (or any fps game for that matter) and cut after every kill, to about 10 seconds before the next one, no matter the context. people play games like league of legends, a game where matches typically take 35-40 minutes, and edit it down to 10-15. 

what happened to watching people play 40 minutes of basically unedited minecraft with their friends? why are so many people so afraid of just listening to people talk while playing games instead of constantly seeing the most action, dopamine filled gameplay in the background? 

and it genuinely wouldn't even be that much of a problem if it wasn't EVERYTHING you see now, it's the standard, it's the only thing people will stay to watch, it's the only thing that keeps the average viewers retention from immediately diminishing and clicking off to find another video that can keep them captivated for more than 5 minutes at a time. 

the youtubers who have engaging conversations with their audience, who don't treat their channel like a brand, or purely a way to make money, the people who hyper-analyze their content into becoming something impossible to click away from, DON'T exist anymore on a large scale how they used to. and when it comes to streamers, i'd genuinely rather just watch the VOD most of the time. 

i have found a good handful who still genuinely interact with their audience, and i do understand how hard it becomes once you actually have a big enough fan base to interact with everybody, nor is that what i'm asking. 

i want the people i watch to feel human, i don't want to feel attention grabbed 24/7, oh look at this, look at that, it's been 20 seconds and you're bored of that already so look at THIS!
