Why is every1 obssessed about having a boyfriend nowdays?

Lowkey I feel like everyone now has an obssession about having a boyfriend even though like, its not that important esspetially at our age and I even find it lowkey cring to be so centered about having a relationship when you actually don't really need it. It's gotten to a point where i questionned myself cuz out of all my friends im the oly one who's never had a boyfriend. I've had boys that asked me out but i never felt really like enough interested to call it "love" and i find it ridiculous for people my age to expect to find their soulmate immediatly. Though, i need to admit that teenage love is something i'd like to experience because i believe it's something everyone should go through so that they get to understand how feelings work.
