Heyy, another blog from me. I got a new blackberry from vinted because I've always wanted a portable word processor but I didn't want to pay hundreds upon hundreds for a freewrite traveller or whatever they call their stationary typewriters but either way, I didn't want to pay that much. I remembered blackberries existed so I decided "hey, maybe I could use them as a very cheap alternative?"
Obviously, it isn't the exact same and its a completely different experience but I'm willing to try lol. I'm also going to use it for MP3's and sideloading random apps.

using a blackberry as a word processor???? that actually is such a cool idea???? i feel enlighted
The keyboard takes a little getting used to but I'm writing this reply from my BlackBerry classic lol. I think if you can find one cheap, it's worth it just for how they look. Friend rewind works decent on kiwi browser.

you're using friendrewind on it?????? whoa.
i've looked up some, but for some weird reason people in my region think that it should cost the same as when it was first launched. i'm having a hard time trying to find one cheap LOL

That sucks so much. I think it heavily depends on what area you're in. I got my classic for £25 on Vinted which is pretty below market value for them where I live. I usually see them going for £50+ .
Some of the later Nokia's I would imagine might be decent for being mini word processors though I'm not as educated on them.
But for anyone reading thats interested in running friend rewind on old blackberry 10 devices. Use kiwi browser BUT be aware you can't do direct messages or use the music function but the basic parts of the website like forums, blogs, profiles etc all work! So its still a pretty cool retro way to engage with this website.
