Thanks for the add! Did you ever get to read Azumangah Daioh in manga form? I would recommend; I am unsure how many strips the anime adapted, besides the Osaka 'Bill Clinton' one! I never got far into the anime version as a very young kid, really only because I got lazy from the anime's introduction of "new" situations |

Thank you for adding me new friend :) I also like Malice Mizer but I enjoy more of GackT's solo songs. What is your favorite Malice Mizer song? Mine is Baroque (⌒‐⌒) |

> ohh i see! and answering your question, i haven't! i've enjoyed the anime but never actually got to the manga tho it seems super interesting.
It's really just a collection of four panel gags and some "regularly paneled/formatted" 'arcs,' like the one swimming pool thing; I just looked it up and it appears that that was actually adapted into a singular episode early in the anime! Wow, I wonder if little me just watched one episode and didn't watch anything else LOL; it makes me wonder if I was always bad with following through with television; sad if so.
> the only one i've read from the author was yotsuba! have you read it?
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh This reminded me that I never got around to reading Yotsuba! It seems very cute and, for a lack of much better words, wholesome. I am unsure how far you got into it, or if you were spoiled also, but (highlight to read->) I was so shocked to see the one page wherein Osaka is revealed to be little Suba's P.E. teacher; it gave me chills!
I know a place that I can probably find and read it, so no worries on sharing links; I just found something and I did not realize that her beautiful parent was a dad LOL moe

hmmmmm i see! it's really interesting how the author did the opposite in yotsuba: regularly paneled pages and some four panel gags here and there. LOLOLOL i see! you watched it as a kid then? i had my first contact with azumanga daioh in my 15s lololol

YESSS!!!! it is so so so so wholesome, it's a comfort manga for me. and i was SO HYPED when i saw that panel!! i loved the way yotsuba reminded her of chiyo-chan bahahahaha so fun to see osaka afternoon all those years :]

Yes! I was at least 9 years old when I read the full omnibus! I dont remember or know what drew me to it but I was spoiled enough to get it in my hands at that age!
How did you learn about Azumangah Daioh, and how do you feel about its (mainly Osaka-oriented) memetic usage?
Either way I got to read some of the unofficially translated Yotsuba manga; very cute! I'm at the chapter wherein Yotsuba gets trapped in the new home's locked bathroom and then escapes through a window; this reminds me of how I was also trapped in a locked bathroom, but it was at a restaurant in Virginia, USA, and there were no windows for me to escape through, so I ended up crying and hitting the door until someone got me out LMFAOOOOOOOOO. The dad is so chill too!
I just saw that you have a blog on Brazilian Neofeudalism; I will share it with two of my friends as I believe they may have things to say about it, and much more easily as they're both history nerds and also Brazilian themselves! I haven't read it all yet as I am about to shower and would like to try to read the majority of the text in its untranslated form; if I struggle or encounter words I am unfamiliar with or doubtful on my interpretation of (eg, false cognates) I will prob look them up
Btw, sorry for late reply, I was studying for my final exam for the past couple days, Artfight'd last night after the exam to stop using my brain, and then ran appointments today. I hope you've been enjoying FriendRewind!

Update, I realized the blog was friends only, and so they cannot read it unless they friend u! IDK if they will do that since I don't bully them into doing things even though I should

i was searching for new comedy animes after watching daily lives of highschool boys, and randomly found azumangah daioh! funnily enough, i instantly recognized it because of the "hallo everynyan" clip that was EVERYWHERE on youtube.
and, despite being mostly osaka-oriented, i laugh a lot of basically every meme/clip the community creates or shares. tho i would love to see other things of the show as well.

BAHAHAHAHAHHA WTH???? i'm sorry but i can't stop laughing at this,,,, thanks for the fun fact BAHAHAHAHAHHA
i mean. i'm imagining that scenario now. imagine living your everyday life in a restaurant and then you hear a kid SCREAMING FOR THEIR LIFE because they got locked in the bathroom LMFAOOOO
and the dad is so chill indeed! xD

omg thank you so much?!??? i hope it is a pleasant read!! but i warn you that it is still incomplete, i left it as a friends only due to that xD. there's still a lot to research and i'm trying my hardest to be unbiased and only share the main things. quite hard, yk, because i want to infodump my entire knowledge about the topic.

awww don't worry about it, this is a slow-paced site after all ;]. if you don't mind sharing, what are you studying? and please share your artworks twin :praying_hands:!!!!1!! i love love love to see how each person has a different style in arts, and i would ABSOLUTELY love to see yours!!

I was studying immunology! It was an accelerated class too, so I was forced to lock in like crazy to soak up as much descriptive science information as I could. I am mainly studying Biomedical Sciences; previously was studying Information Technology (I.T.), of which was a massive cake-walk compared to BioMed: it's really only the need to remember-soak a lot of information that is crazy for me, as I.T. classes were, in my experience, mostly just based in one's ability to do things rather than remember a lot. Makes sense that BioMed will ask a lot to remember though since this kind of science has a lot of concepts that can be applied and could possibly be relevant to whatever related job one gets themselves into (though I guess most obviously the rigorous memorization/connection building of this degree suggests to employers that the graduate is capable of remembering enough things to be competent, lol).
> and please share your artworks twin :praying_hands:!!!!1!! i love love love to see how each person has a different style in arts, and i would ABSOLUTELY love to see yours!!
Thank you; I haven't drawn anything personal/for myself lately but tonnes of my new/recent art is on Artfight! Be warned that the characters that have a linked Toyhou.se page have a LOT of art that's older and not given indicated "years of production" (better words lose me right now, I must amend my sleep debts).
My art style will vary greatly on Artfight also because I keep using it for experimental reasons, oops! I just want to try something different on there for some reason even though it'd be nicer and safer to just stick with the styles I already use (of which I think you can intuit through my character reference pages; I don't think I am experimental when I draw for myself).
A bit off-topic but I just now saw that you have LSD & the Search for God listed in your musics section: awesome! Gasped and whispered "oh my god" in real life when I saw that haha, I don't know if I've seen or met another FriendRewinder or SpaceHeyer that had that! I genuinely don't remember how I found them but I, for a lack of better words and phrases, really loved their sound and music. I would not be surprised if I learned about them through Soundcloud; I used that a lot more often during 2023... I associate that time now with my then-developing interest in entomology, and all those black-bodied yellow-striped phasmids (stick bugs) I would see in the humid fall. I got to see a phasmid for the first time in maybe two or three years about a day or two ago, and it was sadly waterlogged; I was stoked either way; for some reason it looked very unlike the phasmids I would see years ago. I forgot to mention that the music reminds me of when I played TF2 during that winter break, LOL, so nice; too bad bots made public lobbies unplayable. Oh well! Was amazing while it lasted, plus I can just suck it up and go into a community server one day.
Anyways (x100), please feel free to talk at me about anything sociological and/or philosophical; these were humongous interests of mine and some light, hope, and purpose died in me when I kept talking about world events with very detached-sciencebrained professors of mine LOL

first of all, i find it hella interesting that you studied immunology! was there a topic that you enjoyed studying/memorizing the most? not only that, but what made you choose BioMed? i'm picturing you as this incredibly smart person now btw xD

thanks for providing the link :] i've stalked your works twin, and i'm really happy i did that. you're amazing! your mind is so creative i'm kinda envious?? i loved how you play with different styles, and i absolutely adore the Inconsistent Light Source of Love. the way you play with the light-sources, the coloring, perhaps everything. i love love love meeting creative people. oh, and not only that, but your OC Nina Barbara Noel has such a curious and interesting backstory, it's incredible how human your characters can be! it makes me wonder tho; you seem like the kind of person who's really empathetic. anyways!
> A bit off-topic but I just now saw that you have LSD & the Search for God listed in your musics section: awesome! Gasped and whispered "oh my god" in real life when I saw that haha
HAHA. it's so good to find another person who listens to them! and learning about them through Soundcloud?!? that's something really unexpected LOLOLOL,, as for me, i found them while searching for new shoegaze bands back then [maybe late 2023? idk] it was a time where i was obsessed with the genre, and LSD & the Search for God was such a holy find.
> I associate that time now with my then-developing interest in entomology, and all those black-bodied yellow-striped phasmids (stick bugs) I would see in the humid fall. I got to see a phasmid for the first time in maybe two or three years about a day or two ago, and it was sadly waterlogged;
entomology! while not fully searching about this specific topic, i find it really curious to research! i'm not very familiar with phasmids, but they are so lovely. insects are, to me, adorable beings. there's just so much complexity in life, isn't there? ohh, and while not being exactly related, i had a friend who really liked mantids! loved hearing him yap about it.
> I played TF2 during that winter break, LOL, so nice; too bad bots made public lobbies unplayable. Oh well! Was amazing while it lasted, plus I can just suck it up and go into a community server one day.
TF2? HELL YEAHH. and yup, playing in public lobbies was unbearable. idk how it is nowadays, but i've heard it's not as bad as it used to be. still, i know it's an "old" game, but valve should really pay more attention to it; too bad that's basically an unrealistic utopia.

atp you know VERY well i'll talk to you about it, right? xD i'm extremely curious to know more about your opinions and how you see the world - everything. and i feel you TwT geopolitics has this capacity to destroy your faith in humanity LOL
