This is a part 2 of my original work rant. If you didn't catch the original, I will be talking about the same person so you might wanna read this as well for more background.
Boy oh boy. Back to Eve. This girly pop can not stop being a fucking spoiled child.
We discussed a lot of things, including how I wanna stay offline a lot more. She agreed with me and she even told me that she doesn't really use her phone for social media, but mostly for calls with her parents and her (toxic and dumb) boyfriend. I really resonated with here on this part and I thought we finally had a middle ground somehow, then she drops the fucking bomb.
Even if she doesnt use social media she has an iphone 17 pro max which from what I know came out around last year or so. Irrelevant — the point is, she had the newest phone on the market that she only used for calling. One day she text our work groupchat:
"hey does anyone want my phone? imma give yall a good price cuz we know eachother lol"
Some people asked for the price, other were just confused why she was selling her (pretty new) phone.
"i got an iphone 18 so that's why im selling this one"
My honest reaction was to exit the groupchat. She did tell me some days ago she wanted to buy the new phone and I talked her out of buying it. She seemed like she realised it was a waste of money and I thought she's gonna make a good financial decision. WROOOONG
Once again, this adult child got the newest phone just so she can call mommy and daddy to ask for more money cuz she makes dumb financial decisions and she doesn't have any money halfway through the month.
And if yall think im just being petty about this, I have a salary of around 500€, I save like half of it on different things (like health, vacation, buying photography equipment, gifts etc) and this girly pop has around 1500€ and she doesnt have any savings. So if the company lays her off, she is gonna go ask daddy for money.
IDK about yall, but having your parents as a safety net every month as a 30 year old does not sound very good or healthy to me.
What are your thoughts about Eve?

god, are they all like this? i have a co worker who comes from a wealthy family and lives in the wealthiest part of the city and he behaves the same way. worst part is he’s very self centred and doesn’t care about boundaries. last year, he got to skip out on mandatory work (you can have either new years or christmas off, not both, but he got them BOTH off) to go on a yatch with his parents.

That sounds so frustrating... It's so surreal coming across people like that in real life. Even though they are blinking and breathing like they're awake, everything they do makes it sound like they're so deeply asleep.
I know everyone has their escapism, I admit I do too, but you can pick cheaper, less consumeristic alternatives.
