The current politcal state of France

Hello, i'd like to rant today abt what's happening in France, as a french person.

If you are unaware, since mid september, highschoolers are protesting due to the conditions of schools and education. The movement started in Mayotte and got popularized in Créteil and St-Denis at the start of october, leading to the whole country protesting. To protest, the students block the acces to their highschool (causing the closing of the school for the day) and also protests.

I'm participating in this mouvement as a college student. In my city, the colleges have been closed for two weeks bc the direction is afraid of what we can do. Some colleges have even been occupied for a short period of time (3/4 days). I'm totally in support of the revendications of the highschoolers, which have been joined by college students, farmers, lowley everyone lol since nobody can put up with our government anymore.

Unfortunately, not everything is great. And by that I mean the repression we are facing for fighting for our rights. You may have seen the picture of Bally Bagayoko, the mayor of St-Denis and a member of the left (not far-left since they don't share those ideas) political party La France Insoumise (which means the defiant france) protecting the students from the police. This is showing how repressed we are. Since the strat of the movement, the police have caused many students to lose eyes, hands, fingers and have caused some others to experience near-death with their use of grenades or tear gas. Cases of sexual assault have aslo been reported. It's not a new thing in France since the gilet jaunes movement in 2018 faced the same repression.

Let's not forget that this repression is decided by the government, who refuses to acknowledge what is happening. For example, the current Minister of the Interior, Laurent Nuñez, refuse to see the violence of the police, which he orders btw since it's his job. Also, the Minister of National Education refuses to put up viable solutions to our problems. He said like two days ago that he will bring 3000 teachers to the school who needs it more. But those teachers have been refused jobs since september, so why giving them one just now when this could have been done before ? To lure us into stopping our protests. But this won't work.

The government also use another technique to do nothing : blame La France Insoumise. It's not the first time since LFI have been the victim of accusations, defamation, etc since last year. This is linked to the presidential election of 2027 (so like in less than a year). This willl be extremely important since while LFi is bashed by everyone, the far-right political party called Rassemblement National (they were called Front National before) have been pushed by the media as a good party. Let's not forget that Rassemblement National was created by Jean-Marie Le Pen, a nazi, and old SS members. Thus, this election might change the face of France 4ever.

All i'm asking for is KEEP YOUR EYES ON FRANCE, share what is happening around you.
