'Everyone's using AI! They're all so dumb!' Or maybe the educational system is just overloading us (students, just to clarify) with work. Tbh, if you compare our current workload with those of students from the early 2010's, it might seem the same but the difference is that most of our current work is unnecessary. And since school isn't the only thing most of us have on our plates, a lot of students just resort to AI because it allows them to still do extracurriculars. I am not defending AI usage in any way though, it's still better to do everything by hand, but it's wrong to just blatantly demonise and dumb down people who do use it.

This rant is heavily influenced by my homework load (we had to write three differnt summaries on one ted talk)
