Switching it up

Hey folks!

I'm Luke, 23, from Scotland. I wanted to hop on over here to see if this platform had a bit more life on it compared to other similar platforms. I had been writing little posts from time to time on SpaceHey and while I like the handful of people I chat to there, pretty much nobody looks at posts that aren't about site-specific issues.

So, I'm here to try it out and see if you guys are more receptive to mundane blogging. I already much prefer it here in terms of features. The embedded music and blinkie maker are both super cool little additions which have already made my profile feel more interesting and saved me the hassle of doing any real work. I much prefer my layout to be fairly minimal so I don't see myself grinding out a super detailed layout anytime soon.

As for mundane things which I'm thinking about, I'm currently keeping up with the World Cup and honestly Scotland were fucking rotten against Haiti. I'm not particularly bothered to see Scotland do well for a myriad of reasons (disliking Shankland is my pettiest one) and I found myself more invested in the Japan vs. Netherlands match earlier. I think the Dutch fans are good fun but I also don't like their team, honestly. Slow, lumbering fellas not doing much of interest for the majority of the match. Granted, I'm a big fan of Daizen Maeda so I'm more biased towards Japan in this instance, even though they were pretty sloppy throughout the match with pockets of good work in between. I want to see him do well and have a good time. Other than football, I'm just enjoying my summer before I need to go back to being responsible and getting a job/apprenticeship in August. I have plenty of gaming and sleeping to catch up on now that I'm graduating uni.

Anyways, this has been a scatterfuck of a first post but I'm tired and would like to go to bed. Hopefully someone finds this interesting in some kinda way. Goodnight!
