i understand not wanting to get hurt and being too vulnerable, but i think we need to be more open to it for the sake of deeper and more enjoyable connections. holy cold take ik but im just talking to talk here. you can't run away from pain, that shit will find you regardless of how hard you try. since the hurt is inevitable, i don't think we should sacrifice the chance to show someone how much we care in caution of them using it to hurt you. if they were gonna hurt you, they were gonna do it no matter what!! even if you think that's not the case, you don't want someone of that character in your life anyway, so be glad they revealed themselves to you. everyone's so scared of being corny and looking like a dumbass that its killing our chance to experience love. i do it all the time with literally just my friends. just this morning i saw a video describing having a best friend and all the sweet moments it comes with, and i didn't send it to my gc cause i felt a way about the video having the hashtag "best friend". isn't that so stupid??????? why would i not want to share how much i love our relationship?? i think its really odd that a lot of people are like that. you gotta say what you feel when you feel it. plus, its so much more rewarding to be open like that with someone who cares than to be partially open with someone who'll judge you for being too honest. its harder to find "your people" if you won't even let them have a peep at you wholly.
