Here to complain about modern social media : I never realized how toxic it was before spending a few weeks offline and getting back online again. Under most of the publications I encounter, there's a wave of hate comments, hurtful "jokes" and arguments. Like, can't we just let people be themselves ? Unless it's harmful content, there's no reason to be hating on strangers online. If you don't like something, just scroll, jeez...
And that is, kids, one of the reasons I moved here (also because my phone was confiscated TwT).

it's kinda impossible to be ourselves nowdays, and i notice it first hand. what i saw is that at my uni people find you way more interesting if you have no social media (i don't considere, for example, youtube a social media - they try so hard to turn it like twitter/X mixed with tiktok, but luckily it's failing in those things, except long videos and lives), while in my city even my mom looks at me weird after i deleted instagram
