Since joining FriendRewind, i've had 6/8 friend requests be from people who are 16 DESPITE the fact I have it in my bio DNI -17.
Do you realise I'm 19..? I'm not interested in befriending people under 16 unless I know them irl + their parents. Leave me alone and don't add me.. It's so clearly stated in my bio
Now I don't care if people under 16 interact on my blogs, that shits public and can't be twisted or edited to make me look bad without witnesses seeing what actually went down. But I don't wanna be your friend, I don't want to be in private contact with you.
I have this DNI for a reason, it's not cause i think you're too young, it's not because I think you're a child, it's not discrimination either. It's because I know I can't read tone and can/have misread situations and make it worse. I'm not risking that as an adult. On top of that, I haven't had the best upbringing, and if I vent out about it, I don't want to have to filter myself to make sure I don't put something too heavy on a minor's shoulders and be responsible for them knowing what I went through
Does anyone else with age DNIs have this same issue?? It drives me mad sometimes

There are people who add profiles for the aesthetics rather than the user. They don't really read the profiles. Personally I don't quite understand the purpose of doing so, but whatever makes them happy. When in doubt, you can always just decline the request and block the user if they send you one again.

this is entirely fair, people will skim and miss them no matter how you structure it, you just have to kind of accept that and start blocking if it pisses you off so bad

yea this keeps happening to me on spacehey.. like it clearly says dni if less than 15, you are 13??? WHY ARE YOU SENDİNG ME A REQUEST???? I dont get it, is it bc theyre friend collecters so they dont check peoples bio so much or do they just not care?? so weird
