i think im getting a bit too woke. i have this cousin that i talk to, who btw is the WHITEST dude ik btw he is like a grown ass man too (18), he once said the n word and when i confronted him he said "My friend who is black gave me a free pass,''. WHAT.. also i get the biggest ick when someone says they separate the artist from their work. for example, melanie martinez who has gotten tons of sexual assult aligations and yet they still listen to her music and buy cds ect. like im all for separaiting the work from the artist but listen to reuploads??! anyway ty for reading! xoxo💕

Being too woke isn't bad what so ever (not saying you said it was). I totally agree I started distancing myself from this guy who kept saying the n-word and other batshit crazy stuff about race but he claimed it was all jokes. He was also gay but didn't accept like 99% of the community (which is a HUGE ick for me). And YES whenever I separate the artist from their work. I try not to give them any support even if that means completely cutting them off or simply downloading their music from someone else and listen completely offline.
