I know I sound like such a granny saying this, but it feels like teens my age don't gaf about anything anymore. No one is well educated to have a decent conversation that isn't boderline baselevel or shallow (to be fair, teens are known to be especially shallow, but still this feels spectacularly so), everyone has a hilariously low lack of empathy to the point of not even processing anything remotely upsetting in a normal way, people are incredibly close minded, no one goes outside to parks or to the mall, there's no new events anywhere, school dances are dry--and even when they ARE online a lot, THEY NEVER FUCKING RESPOND!!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe it's just my school or my town, no ones really outright "mean" theyre just horribly boring and immature,,,, hopefully ill gain a few more friends this year beyond my one real irl one ive been hanging out with,,, kicks a rock

ahhh, i completely understand. i'm a hypocrite since i am a bit of an internet addict, but i do try my best to go outside and socialize. now that i've done it more, i'm seeing what you see more. it's a little sad, seeing people glued to their phones when i want to talk to them, those looks they give you when you actually act like a normal human being who enjoys the nature around them... i mean, i don't want to seem superior in any way, everyone has their own interests, i just believe it'd be nice for them to connect with their surroundings in general. i'm an adorer of nature, a tree hugger and a flower talker, and i've gotten some pretty nasty comments from other kids about it! i can't help but feel bad, but you know, i think they'll learn when they're older
Yes!!! I also feel guilty because. i have a strange on and off relationship with the internet,,,, but i feel like HOPEFULLY, with the yearning of older internet and less corp greed,,,, people will wake up once theyre older :)
