Don't you ever get overwhelmed by so much bad news? By so many flawed arguments from large groups of people? I feel sad, drained, stressed. I hate this era.

i felt the same way tbh but at this point in my life i've really just stopped caring which some can argue is a bad thing. i think it's always important to have some sliver of hope no matter how bad you feel. the only things you can actually control in your life are your actions and mindset, so you have to take it easy. i hate the world we're living in too, but the fact that there's other people who feel the same way can make all the difference. it means we will never be alone
So many things are happening, and seeing so many articles talking about birth rates and how they say "women's education is the problem," when the real problem is that nobody is having children because it's economically unsustainable, blaming a group of people for a structural problem that was mostly created by older men is absurd. The worst part is that if we set everything back even further, I don't know if there's any way to reverse it, because this macho and misogynistic culture exists even within the religions that so many people are fanatical about. I know not all religions are bad, but I feel so much concern for movements like this. I just keep thinking about how worried I am about women, trans people, queer people, and I feel so much hopelessness in the world.Β
I'm so worried that the system reach an extreme point where I can't even get a tubal ligation just bc I want it, because I'm forced to bring people into the world, even when I don't want toΒ

You have to act then, be the voice of hope in the world. Don't stay silent about stuff like this that you're worried about. Protest, post, and make sure to vote in the elections this year!! (assuming you live in the US). I am 100% serious when I say that Mamdani's election last year reignited my hope for the future of US, because so many people have come out to advocate for actual human rights. Yes, I am terrified of the current administration, especially ICE and AI, but I've also attended protests and conversed in my community, and because of that, I know things really do have the potential to get better. It's cliche, but you kind of have to just have trust in the universe that everything will be alright.Β
