family vent

my father has this stupid fucking rule that no one is allowed in the kitchen or living room past 7pm. well dinner is served at 6pm and it takes me a long time to eat so by the time I'm finished I can't go to the kitchen and wash my plate so I keep it in my room till I leave my room the next day, today I've only left my room to go to work or the bathroom. I have not gone to the kitchen today so I didn't have the chance to take my plate back so my stepmom came in my room and started tossing it and was saying "where are they? I know you have dishes in here" when I had one plate sitting on my desk and she found it and started asking why it wasn't in the kitchen and when I said it was because of the rule she started calling me lazy and i'm really not lazy I just don't like leaving my room because every time I'm out of my room I get yelled at/
