first blog post !!!!

im no stranger to blogging. im an avid tumblr, blogspot, and livejournal user. but i thought its be nice to have a lighthearted blog on here. which is just in time for me to see 5sos tomorrow! so ill probably come back and talk about how im getting ready tomorrow then on monday ill talk about how it went since i dont have school until tuesday (freshmen start monday, everyone else starts tuesday). ill also talk about school a bit too. im gonna try to keep up with this but i cant make promises LOL.

anyways. school starts tuesday, well my home highschool, which we'll call evil school cuz i hate it there, starts tuesday, but i also go to governor's school and that starts wednesday so the new sophmores can have monday and tuesday to get used to the setting change. its so weird that im now about to start my senior year! i dont have THAT much going on. kinda, not really. i only have two classes at evil school, which is band and spanish iii. i have three classes at governor's school, which is calc, physics, and senior MES. i also work on my governor's school senior project this year and in march ill present it at our symposium! im doing the correlation of music preference and political alignment!

this past summer has been suuuuupppper busy. i took four classes, since im trying to graduate highschool with my associates degree. i took government, econ, psychology, and ITE. as well as the last three week were marching band camp, which were EXHAUSTING.

i started marching band my sophomore year. i always complain during the season, but i do really enjoy marching band. i knew that if i didnt do it my last year id regret it, despite a lot of reasons why i didnt want to. but i think ill be ok. our shows pretty cool.

luckily, i only have two classes at evil school. we run by an a-day, b-day schedule, so we're working on switching me to the 3a spanish iii class so i have spanish and band on the same day so i dont have to go to evil school on b-days and i can work on my senior project and just relax. i wanted a chill senior year and by the looks of it im getting it. i really want to do good this year so this free schedule is gonna help with that. btw governor's school is at a separate school, one of our small old highschools from the 60s, so when i eventually get my license, which ill talk about in a bit, ill be able to just drive home on those days i dont need to go to evil school, but for now, my grandma will be picking me up lol.

but my license.... ive had my learners since decemeber 2024....... i got my car last august/october... i drove for the first time this summer............. its not that i dont think i can drive. its just that im terrified of it. even sitting in a car as a passenger freaks me out. i kind of hate that our country is so reliant on driving, plus we dont have much public transport besides school buses and ordering an uber or lyft, since we're a smaller county and town. now when i go to college, ive decided vcu, richmond has tons of public transport, plus the traffic on the campus is terrifying so i would much rather walk or take a bus than drive myself.

i started this a few hours ago, but never finished lol.
