Senior year dude. Senior goddamn year.
It's genuinely not for the faint of heart, I can't even begin to explain everything that has happened in the past month and a half. The reason I bring this up now is because I just received a piece of news that I never thought I would hear.
It may not seem like a big deal, but dear god, if you were anyone I know in real life right now, you'd be in utter shock. Basically my friend just told me she got broken up with by her girlfriend of two years. (Yeah yeah, High School relationships blah blah blah, NO they literally had the most healthy and amazing relationship ever, alright). I'm mainly confused because not only are they also best friends, but the girlfriend was literally telling me two days ago about how much she missed my friend. Like what? What genuinely could have happened to change her mind that quick?
Here's the situation though. I have three friends and we are all super close. The problem is that two of those people are these two girls that I am talking about. I've only heard the one side of the story and I'm so afraid to see what sudden dynamic change has occurred since we all last spoke. I'll find out on Monday, but I'm really panicking on how I should treat the situation, because I love them both and I don't want to have to pick sides.
Genuinely I could write a whole essay on all of the different bullshit I've experienced this school year. It's only OCTOBER, I don't want to know what the rest of this year has in store for me.
I must say though, all of these changes have caused me to do a ton of self reflection and introspection, and I would like to think that it's been beneficial. I've been going to the woods more as well and I have been really trying to live in the moment and take in the world around me more than I previously have.
It feels somewhat strange to say this, but also my two main online friends have really gotten me through this past month. It's not necessarily that it has been super difficult, it's more just the build up of small inconsistencies and unexpected changes that has put me in this situation. Basically what I'm saying is that my real life has been somewhat undesirable, but my 2 online friends stay mostly consistent and I hope it continues to be that way. They've given me something to look forward to and enjoy and I'm quite thankful for them. (I realize that only one of them will see this but I think you know who you are LOL, hopefully you don't think this is weird).
I suppose this is the weekly blog. Sorry if it's confusing or unexpected in any way, I just wanted to type up my current (12:30am) thoughts.

I don't think they should make you pick sides, it's definitely reasonable for you to be friends with both of them still (unless one of them did something really fucked up), but it could be really awkward. I agree that you should definitely try to understand both sides first and y they broke up, and then see what to do and how to handle the situation. I'm def relating to you rn, this school year has also been a lot for me already, including stuff with friends and things like that. But, I am actually a freshman, so it's been a huge change. I was wondering if you had any advice for me about this situation with my best friend of 2 years. We have been so close for about 2 years now and we even dated and it was a whole thing but we were fine like 4 months after and we became even closer friends I would say. But, recently, they have been totally ignoring me, not answering texts and it's just total radio silence from them. I know it's common for friendships to be lost from middle school into high school especially when you go to different schools. I was wondering if you had maybe gone through a similar experience like that at the beginning of high school, or maybe anything you wish you would've known as a freshman. Sorry if this is like a really long comment lmao it's also ok if you don't have any advice!!! thx
