Furry events are actually the coolest thing ever

i was given a last-minute opportunity to go to Wroof, a furry event in Wrocław. i am not a furry entirely, i'm honestly more of a robot-identifying person, but obviously, all costumed event cultures can and will overlap, plus it was an opportunity to go outside dressed a little silly.

i think we are all aware of how conventions have been getting mainstream along with general fan culture. with that comes people trying to profit off of it by filling the cons with cheap slop. but weirdly, it hasn't really touched the furry community. i suppose it's because all of those people think furries are weird, but that's resulted in a really nice isolated environment. the whole artists alley was independent artists/fursuit makers with not a single 3d printed dragon fidget toy in sight, it was amazing to see.

anyways, what the hell was i up to that day! i was cosplaying TB3 since it was fairly cold out and i hadn't gotten to wear it proper before that. i was with a friend who was in her fursuit. all was good in the world, maybe one of us would be able to see even. her friends were sharing a booth at the artists alley her included, and while she was helping i was mostly hanging around and looking at things.

anyways, the reason i didn't call this a convention is because it's part convention part MARCH! yes, a furry march. we briefly took over a bunch of street to walk from the convention center to a nearby landmark, then back around. i couldn't see anything and kept bumping into people and losing my friend, but we got free water and that was really nice. i hadn't drank water all day. after it was over i had chicken pops and got myself something to drink for real. then i bought some stuff. then i waited for our tram and then we went home. YAY! what a good day.
