So, a couple of days ago, one of my roommates came home from work and told me that one of her coworkers had invited her to this movie night thing. She invited me to come along; the movie they were going to watch seemed interesting enough so I agreed to come too.
The day (Friday) rolls around, and we pull up to this barn on the outskirts of town. Now, I trust my roommate, so we walk into the barn together. And...it's empty.
My roommate tells me that it was slated to begin at 7pm. Meanwhile, it's 6:45.
Not wanting to be on the side of a milk carton, I convince her to wait with me at the car until 7, where we would return to the barn to see if her coworker turns up.
7 comes and goes, and we stroll into the barn at 7:05. Lo and behold, her coworker and a friend are there. Now, here's where it gets a little awkward. My roommate and I are in our twenty's (respectively) and the rest of the people that show up are in their late 50's, early 60's. That's not to say that I don't enjoy the company of older folks. I mean, my parents (all four of them) fit into this age demographic. But, you know that feeling where you go to hang out with a group of people and they already have an established dynamic, and you're just...there?
Well, it kind of felt like that; especially considering these people have had DECADES of being friends.
Anyway, we get some popcorn and we start the movie.

For those of you that can't read that (myself included), the movie was called "Throne of Blood (Spider's Web Castle)", a 1957 Japanese film which is a retelling of Shakespeare's Macbeth.
Not gonna lie fam, that movie was kind of boring. Especially because I already know Macbeth inside and out. I mean, the ending was pretty good because there was a lot of action, but overall I would say it's about as entertaining as the original Blade Runner, which is to say, not very much.
Regardless, it was a fun experience and an excellent excuse to get out of the house, so 10/10 recommend.
