on monday, i went to see a new doctor. i never really have high hopes with the doctor's office. either it's my weight, my period, anxiety, or my HRT. this guy really took me by surprise, though. i thought i'd have to make a second appointment just to get through the rest of my physical after giving my medical history; he stayed after my appointment should have been over to get it all done. i got my blood drawn the same day in the same building - and, this is the really impressive part - i had an ECG done. In the same building. Right after my bloods. No 6 month waiting list. In that same appointment, my doctor referred me to cardiology, neurology, and an EDS clinic, and sent refills of my specialized meds my last GP wouldn't fill.
I got a call from the clinic yesterday afternoon. My blood is normal (this is great news by itself - my liver enzymes were not good last time), and my ECG was inconclusive (no surprise there). I didn't actually get in with a neurologist - I got in with a neuroopthamoligst. In-house. That's a whole specialty I can skip. And I only have to wait until October to see her.
