"Good morning America, I'm Charles Gibson..." (09/12/2026)

...had a fun game night tonight. Played a shitload of GMod and a bit of Among Us. Unfortunately we found out quite tragically that the latter tends to bring out the absolute worst in people. One round in and a few of us were at each other's throats. Tends to happen when we play that game. Well...it was nothing more GMod couldn't solve.

...right now as I am writing this it is chilly as fuck in my room. Outside it's almost pitch black save for someone's porch light. It's a quiet night, which has been pretty rare since for like the past five or so days I've been hearing absolute chaos out there; people screaming and crying and overall being nuisances. It's real annoying, especially when you're in a Zoom call and people start thinking you're a psychopath since all they hear from your end is screaming.

...otherwise there is very little to report. Much of my time is spent on university and what little free time I have is eaten up by my social life and (less importantly) my ongoing playthrough of GTA IV. That game's fucking addicting! I suppose the next time I'm on break I'll have something worth writing about, but I'm still very much committed to blogging. 

...listening now: "NEWS AT 11" by Cat System Corp. 9/11 was yesterday and I couldn't decide between listening to this or The Disintegration Loops by William Basinski (both albums that were heavily influenced by that tragedy) yet ultimately I went with this one. It is the embodiment of trying to remain calm and urbane in the face of nationwide panic; slowed down easy listening that carries a remarkable amount of baggage with it. All the uncertainty combined with a dash of a frankly alien optimism.
