...almost beat Half-Life in one sitting a couple days ago. I was checking out a mod on Steam for it that added achievements and (most importantly) re-enabled bunnyhopping. Two hours later I was already on Residue Processing. You know, I've beat Half-Life in one sitting before. Not in a couple of years though. When I was like twelve I did it twice. Not at the same time, probably a couple of weeks in-between. I had little else to do at the time.
...now listening: "Wowee Zowee" by Pavement. On the cusp of becoming a mainstream band with the success of "Cut Your Hair" and the other singles from Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain, Pavement pretty much torpedoed their chances with Wowee Zowee, a much slower and languid album. I think that move was for the best. This is my favorite from them. "Grounded", "Father to a Sister of Thought", "Grave Architecture" and "Half a Canyon" are beautiful.
