Halloween DISASTER

Welcome back to the my corner of the internet! πŸŽƒπŸŒ§οΈπŸŽ„
I am currently writing this wrapped in three different fuzzy blankets, drinking hot cocoa, and waiting for my favorite oversized hoodie to finish tumbling in the dryer. Why? Because Halloween was an absolute, literal washout, and I have officially decided that spooky season is over and Mariah Carey season has begun. Here is exactly how my Halloween went from a total rain disaster to an iconic memoryβ€”and why I’m already blasting holiday music.
So, my friends and I had been planning our group costume for months. We looked amazing, the hair was perfected, the makeup took an hour, and the vibes were immaculate. Β this was supposed to be our first real, independent Halloween without parents hovering, so expectations were high. Then, right when we were supposed to meet up, literally ALL of them canceled last minute. Every single one. I was left completely alone, sitting there in full costume, feeling totally defeated. But I refused to let my hard work go to waste, so I decided the show must go on and walked out the door by myself. That was right when the universe decided to open the floodgates. It didn't just rain; it poured down sheets of water the exact minute I stepped outside. And of course, because I was completely incapable of checking a weather app, I didn't even bring an umbrella.
Within five minutes, my carefully curled hair turned into a frizzy nest, my makeup started running down my neck like a horror movie prop, and my shoes were making that awful squish-squish sound with every step. At first, I felt so pathetic being alone in a rainstorm on Halloween. But honestly? Once you are already 100% soaked to the bone, you lose all fear. I ended up throwing on my favorite playlist, dancing through the streets, splashing in giant puddles, and just embracing the absolute chaos of it all. I still got my candy, even if the bag completely disintegrated by the end of the night. It was freezing, lonely at first, but honestly turned into one of the most liberating and awesome Halloweens ever.
But let’s be real. Now that the wet costume is in the laundry hamper, I am officially over the cold, damp autumn vibes. The second I woke up this morning, my brain completely skipped November and went straight into holiday mode. I know everyone says it’s not even Thanksgiving yet, but my festive pop playlist is already playing on a loop, the mini pumpkin on my desk is being replaced by fairy lights today, and I’ve already started pinning cozy winter sweaters. After surviving being ditched and the great deluge of Halloween, I definitely deserve some warm holiday cheer. If anyone needs me, I'll be defrosting under my blankets until December.
How was your Halloween? Did your plans actually work out, or did everyone cancel on you too? Let me know in the comments below if you're team "wait for Thanksgiving" or if you're already listening to holiday music with me!     -✨Bonan killed Conan✨ out.
