My sister and I met up and went to happy hour at the Library of Congress. We had a great time!
It's been eons since either of us had been there, so it was fun to see it as adults as we walked around with our glasses of wine. It was fun to walk around after hours.
We have decided to do this again and plan to stay for the outdoor movie afterward.
It's things like this that make me love where I live. I get to do things at places most people don't get to do. Especially as a local during tourist season.

What's the 'Happy Hour' at the Library of Congress. What event is that?
It's from 4:30 to 8pm. You can get adult beverages and food and walk around the library after normal business hours. You can also go the study rooms and other areas that aren't open to the public normally. They also have local musicians perform on the gallery at the beginning.
At 8pm they start a movie on the lawn. I didn't stay for the movie as I was tired
It was a lot of fun and there was such a great range of people. I would highly recommend attending. Then again, I am a research librarian, so I love libraries more than most.
