"healthy" social media

Here are some alternatives I found to scrolling on tiktok for hours that feel more healthy and actually help me stay focussed on other things that'll ACTUALLY benefit me!

- Watching old TLC-style series on youtube
° I constantly watch things like "hells kitchen" or "supernanny" on youtube, these episodes last long, keep me somewhat focussed and prevent me from spending a whole hour scrolling on tiktok instead.

- Writing blogs
° Like i'm doign right now, writing blogs is a great way of spending your time online. It's fun to dump all your thoughts into a blog, or teach people about stuff you know. I also love reading others their blogs, you have no idea how much you can learn from that.

- Chatting on certain websites
° Going on websites like talkomatic, friendrewind or spacehey are a fun way of spending your time. You chat with strangers, find a few friends or meet people you otherwise wouldn't. Making friends online and chatting with them is such a fun thing to do, and it keeps you social rather than having you just keep to yourself and scroll.

- Finding a specific online hobby
° For me its making subliminals, or editing pictures of my friends to have them look silly. But for you it might be writing a fanfiction, creating a game on roblox or making collages of outfits. There are so many things you can do online that dont require any money, or that dont even take that long. Finding something to do that isnt scrolling will seriously save your ass

- Filming your own videos
° Film your own grwm's, or make a vlog about your day. Keep a little digital diary online from what you did. You can always post your finished video's on places like friendrewind where others can see it, like it and even comment. Or maybe you prefer youtube? It's all possible, and all much better than doomscrolling

- Learn a new skill
° There are tons of tutorials online that'll help you learn how to do specific things. Learn how to write your own book, how to draw digitally or even how to create fire. Don't ever stop learning new things, the more you learn the easier it becomes to learn more

I hope you enjoyed! A couple tips i have to find other things to do online is try finding out what people did when the internet really just became a thing. Like what did people do online before us, how did they spend their time and how could we learn off of that.
