baby's first friendrewind blog post!

I really enjoy writing blogs for some reason, in the same way that I enjoy writing journal entries. nowadays we don't have many other opportunities to reflect on our lives.
summer is coming to an end, like it or not, but I like it seeing as college is ten times more interesting and exciting. still, it's been a good season. I got to do more reading than I expected, plus hanging with my cats and smoking weed (not in the same room). 

maybe the most exciting thing I did besides the beach was probably going to the club... I'm not a huge fan of the club simply because I've only ever been to straight ones. sometimes the music is ok, but even then I'm not sure the vibe will be right. I managed to have a good time though, and I ended up meeting a girl named Jacky and she kissed me after we danced and talked for a while. I was thankfully too drunk to be embarrassed about anything I was saying or doing. for some reason, though, I get such a thrill from meeting people. I also went to NYC pride with a Tinder match, and that was actually really cool! it was my first real pride, and it was so refreshing to see other queer people having a good time. after the parade we smoked a joint in Washington Square Park and talked and talked. they're Greek like me so we had a lot in common.

I think I was meant to be a bargoer in Paris like in Giovanni's Room; the French just know how to have affairs and still make it look classy. once again, this is why college is so great. I went out almost every single weekend, and you just never know what's gonna happen.

anyway... tomorrow is my brother's birthday. after that, I'm having one last night with my hometown friends and then it's bye bye baby. most people probably don't enjoy packing but it just excites me. I've been thinking non-stop about what my dorm is gonna look like, because this year I have my own room and a vision. and a couch.
