Home Is Where The House Is

Nearly a year ago, we started the process of looking for a home. After a few weeks of searching and viewing we settled on one in November 2025. It needed a bit of love but it was something to take pride in, in theory. Fast forward to April this year and it all fell through. Not on our own accord, just sellers who couldn't be honest about their own plans.

Skip forwards to June this year and house no. 2 comes onto the radar. It's a bit more than our initial budget but it's workable. There's small compromises but yet positive tradeoffs. Having been told there was expected exchanges and completions of the week of, well this week and yet nothing. 

Imagine a world where you give people money and you swap bits of paper instead of involving solicitors (legal teams/lawyers) and property developers, what a concept.

This is just an airing of my mind. Hopefully things aren't too far away.
