Homecoming!!!

I don't want to get to in detail because I'm scared of doxxing myself over the tiniest information, but recently my school had it's homecoming dance! I went with a group of friends and my girlfriend and we had a lot of fun. One side effect to being so involved in school activities though is that sooo many people recognized me from stuff like theater, music, art, or debate. I wore some super sparkly tennis shoes that lit up in rainbow colors and got compliments from so many people, most of which I didn't even know. As a more introverted person, it was a lot for me and there were multiple times where I wished I could just go sit somewhere with my girlfriend and people watch for a while, but I'll admit I felt pretty special getting so much attention.

Also, just wondering if this happens for other schools, but not a single slow song was played during the dance. They played a ton of Justin Bieber however..! I didn't dance for that long so it didn't bother me too much. I'm just gonna hope that at Prom they'll accept that high schoolers can dance to a song that doesn't absolutely shatter your eardrums with loud bass and autotuned vocals.

Another question, do people actually spike the fruit punch? One girl I was talking to claimed that there's alcohol in it but I don't know if I believe her, especially considering how hard the teachers were working to keep the dance absolutely child friendly... Like surely some kids would start vomiting and then the teachers would know what's up, right?? As someone who can't stand the taste of fruit punch and never drinks at parties due to anxiety, I really want to know if anyone's had it happen before.

Anyways, that's all I've got for now. Sorry I haven't written in a long while, school has me soo busy lately with clubs, trips, and volunteer work.

For my questions of the day I have...

1. Do you ever go to school dances? Do you enjoy them?

2. When it comes to parties, do you prefer wearing a suit, dress, or something else?

3. What are your thoughts on those sign proposals that people make?

My answers~

1. Yes, and I'd say I enjoy them a lot but am absolutely drained afterwards.

2. I usually prefer a suit but at homecoming I wore a super sparkly blue dress with a metallic silver jacket and matching silver shoes, along with silver earrings and a silver headband, and I'd say I looked pretty cute.

3. Maybe hot take, I think they're really cute. BUT, I think you should only do one if you're already in a romantic relationship with the person and know they'd be comfortable with it, or if you're asking them as friends and know they aren't going with anyone else. If some guy put a ton of effort into a sign for me and asked me out in front of a ton of people it'd be reallyyyy awkward to explain that I'm not really interested in men.

Anyways have a great day everyone!! <3

my school had to pour individual cups of soda bc I think people spiked the drinks in the past lmao

That's so crazy.. Being brave enough to spike drinks at a school event seems so impossible to me.
