I love being able to give gifts, whether it's to my boyfriend or a friend. Since our one-month anniversary with my bf i have given him a gift, but now that we've been together for over a year, it's quite difficult to find a nice idea on Pinterest or TikTok (something that uses materials I already have).(。ᵕ ◞ _◟)
Over time, I've realized that giving a letter to our loved one has lost much of its meaning. Many people think a letter is too outdated for this era. Many feel that simply making a Spotify playlist is enough to show affection (a playlist they'll then share with their other partners) I know music is a lovely way to show love, but don't you think it's better to do something unique for the person we love? Something that can't be given to anyone else, something with a unique meaning.
Many people believe that a gift they made thinking of someone else can be recycled and given to someone else, but those words don't belong to that person, or they use chatbots or some AI. Many justify this by saying they "aren't creative," failing to realize that to express feelings, you don't need a structure or a foundation; you only need memories and those thoughts that make you sigh for someone. Using AI is truly a way of betraying someone. ՞߹ - ߹՞
Loving someone isn't about who gives the most elaborate or expensive gift. It's about showing them why you love them, what you love about them, and how you feel when you see them. It doesn't matter if it's a simple, small, or elaborate gesture. My main point is to give a gift that's for that person and only that person, not something we can reuse every time we start a new relationship.✎ᝰ.

I really loved reading this. I completely agree that the value of a gift doesn't come from how expensive or impressive it is, but from the personal meaning behind it. A handwritten letter, a small handmade gift, or even a simple gesture based on a shared memory can mean so much because it's something that only exists because of that specific person.
I think nowadays we sometimes focus too much on making things "perfect" or copying ideas from the internet, and we forget that the most beautiful gifts are often the ones that show someone: "I know u, I remember this moment, and I thought of u."
I also understand what you mean about AI. Technology can be useful for inspiration, but when it replaces the personal effort and emotions behind something, it loses part of the magic. Love is about connection, and those little imperfections are what make a gift feel real.
Keep making those thoughtful gifts! I'm sure your boyfriend appreciates not only the gifts themselves but also the love and time you put into creating them.

I really love your comment, finally someone understands my point of view. Many people have somehow forgotten that the most important thing is to do something unforgettable for the person you love, like simply seeing them and doing something special.

Exactly! That's what I was trying to say.
I think people often remember how a gift made them feel much more than how much it cost. Years later, you might forget an expensive present, but you'll still remember the letter someone wrote u, the playlist they made, the drawing, the inside joke they turned into a gift, or the little detail that showed they were really paying attention<3

not everyone's main way of showing love is gifting, a Spotify playlist might be meaningful for them, the meaning of love is subjective. It varies from person to person. while I agree that using AI is super sloppy I dont think that its such a big phenomenon in the current day/recognized as a meaningful gesture to show love for many people. I think that portraying gift-giving as the only real way of showing affection is quite silly as many people have other main ways to show affection. Their meaning of love is different from yours and that's okay, but this does not mean that present day people have somehow lost the meaning of love. 😔
OMG, finally someone is looking at one of my blogs. Honestly, I really like what you're saying; maybe people feel different kinds of love, and that’s something to be respected. Actually, this is a blog post from two years ago that I originally created for MySpaceHey.
Anyway, thanks for replying! :33333333
