Someone recently told to me about reading one book per day by listening to them on 4x speed.
That isn't reading. Treating literature like an endurance sport misses the entire point.
A truly great book should derail you. It should require you to put it down on page 34, stare at the ceiling for an hour, reconsider a core belief, and maybe go for a long walk in the rain.
Cultivate a slower mind.
