how to talk to cousins no borax no glue

all my cousins that i know of are boys and are older then me . the closest cousin my age is 2 yrs older but he's also a boy and goes to a different school then me . i rlly wanna be close to  him like how everyone else and their cousins r super close cs he's look rlly friendly its just that we only text and i always have to text first and he never rlly carries convos . like highk i don't ask followups either but its only ok when i do it cs im younger and the better cousin (fashion wise)

he also plays basketball so a lot of ppl from my school know him to , and i need a way to piggyback off his popularity cs i actually suck ass at making friends . do i get bonus points if i can say were twins or siblings ?? we look like siblings according to everyone else
