Husbands Helping Out

People always talk about how men don't help out enough around the home.  But what if he does not help not out of laziness, but because the woman is always telling him "he is doing it wrong" when he tries to, even if some other person (woman) thinks he did a great job?  Are women actually keeping their husbands away from helping them even though they want their husband to do his fair share?

Imo, the response changes on a case-by-case basis. We shouldn't ignore how normalized weaponized incompetence is. Women are socially expected to take on the burden of house tasks for free. Men are expected to be providers in the sense of working & getting money the family needs to subsist.

Some husbands do things half-assedly so their wives end up doing it themselves anyway. In the end, that specific scenario makes her look like a control freak who won't let the husband help her. However, there must exist cases in which the wife actually is a control freak who doesn't let her husband do anything around the house and still calls him lazy. Though i can't stress enough how it is seen as normal that men don't help with household tasks. That fact shields many of them from contributing to their homes in any way other than monetary.

But yeah, imo it varies from household to household.
