This endless online hysteria over hypergamy is mostly pathetic coping from bitter, low-agency men who’d rather rage at biology and statistics than fix what’s staring back at them in the mirror. Women wanting security, ambition, emotional stability, and a partner who can actually lead and provide isn’t some grand moral crime. It’s ancient, hardwired common sense. Throughout history, people paired with those who raised their odds of survival and thriving. Acting shocked by that is like complaining that water is wet.
Nobody is obligated to date or marry a man glued to screens, marinating in resentment, doomscrolling about “the dating market” while bringing zero value, drive, or competence to the table. The internet has turned legitimate frustrations (economic pressures, app-distorted incentives, shifting education and earnings) into an excuse festival. YES, modern dating is brutal for average men. YES, top-tier guys get picked while many get sidelined. But screaming “hypergamy is evil!!!” like it’s a gotcha, then refusing to improve your body, mind, finances, social skills, or character? That’s not analysis. That’s surrender with extra steps.
The outrage machine thrives because it’s easier to invent villains and grand conspiracies than to admit the uncomfortable truth: attraction isn’t egalitarian. Standards exist for a reason. If you consistently come across as angry, entitled, directionless, or low-value, people (especially women who bear higher reproductive costs) they will filter you out. That’s not oppression. That’s reality.
Stop projecting your failures onto “society” or “feminism” or “hypergamy.” Delete the cope threads. Lift weights. Go outside. Build real skills. Cultivate discipline, humor, and purpose. Become the kind of man high-value women actually want instead of demanding the world lower its standards to accommodate your excuses. Nobody owes you a partner. Earn your seat at the table or sit on the sidelines complaining. The choice has always been yours.
The men who accept this and act on it are the ones who eventually win. The ones who don’t stay exactly where they are loud, lonely, and irrelevant. Grow up.
