I am cursed with only having awkward interactions

As some people may or may not know k go to a new school because I started Gymnasiet (swedish highschool basically)

And there are so many cool people in the school I go to, and so obviously I want to tell people how cool they are.

BUT every person who IS NOT in my programme (theather) that I have gone up to and complimented their outfit or whatnot I have gotten a

"Oh thank you....😃" 

And nothing after that 

so I have come to the conclusion that I have a curse of akkward social interaction untill I say otherwise
