Right now I’m mainly talking about the glorification of plastic surgery in east Asia which has gone to dangerous extremes yet netizens still find them normal? Like it’s just their daily life? Every new fact I learn about the beauty standards there makes me want to puke you CANNOT tell me that this isn’t body horror- we’ve got people cutting the inner corners of their eyes to look more ‘innocent’ and ‘childlike’ (this is horrifying too what the heck?), risking extreme pain and blindness and we’ve got people disintegrating their bones just to grow taller and oh my God there’s so much more! Shocking!…. Yeah anyways, I really can’t believe that this happens in real life and I hope the people in my region (mostly East Asians and Asians as well) never get indoctrinated into this messed up society cult
They also do jaw shaving im pretty sure this is just the tip of the iceberg

Yes, its unfortunate these surgeries are encouraged (especially for women) to achieve beauty standards perpetuated by the patriarchy. Especially when these beauty standards are impossible and these surgeries are so dangerous!!
EXACTLY, if im not wrong you usually do have to maintain these surgeries and keep having more and more which will eventually botch your face... and making the body dysmorphia these people have much worse...
