"I can't imagine that all our troubles will go away..." (11/01/2026)

...after that hellish week I just experienced, yesterday and today have been comparatively nothingburgers. Which I absolutely needed. Finally, a moment to actually catch my breath and not have to worry about whatever stupid shit ends up coming my way. I can't quite express in words just how much of a relief this is. Tragically, as an unforeseen side effect of nothing of note happening, there's hardly anything to write about. 

I mean, the only thing I can really write about is the fact that I just beat GTA 3 on a PS2 a couple of minutes ago. Probably the best way to experience the game. Although I do kinda hate how you basically can't aim at all with the M16 or Sniper Rifle. That's probably just my caveman brain going apeshit over having to aim with a controller, though.

So other than that I guess I've just been chilling. Relaxing. Trying to catch my breath. Kicking myself over missing the show I bought tickets to (I promise I'll stop whining about this soon). But otherwise I'm in slightly better health, physically and mentally, than a week ago.

...now listening: "Demons and Painkillers" by Guided by Voices. This is the second disc of the "Hardcore UFOs" box set from 2003, and is a nice collection of all the singles, EPs and other miscellanea from the mid-90s. "Finks" is killer, and so is the "Creamy Version" of the Mag Earwhig staple "Choking Tara". Plus you get all of the Plantations of Pale Pink EP so that's a bonus.
