I had a nice day today | got some CDs and DVDs at a book sale

I woke up today at like 3 pm and laid in bed for like an hour. I always have a hard time getting out of bed, but I did when my mom knocked on my door. She knocked loudly, which annoyed me, but she was like... "Did you see the food?" and pointed to my nightstand, and I was like "What?" so I look over, and she had gotten me breakfast! This was nice as she never comes into my room and also doesn't make food often. It was some cinnamon bite thingies, some sort of frozen pumpkin spice latte from Sheetz. (Very underrated fast food place imo!) We talked a bit, and she said she was going to a book sale and asked if I wanted to come.

I decided to go even though I'm on my period cause I desperately needed to get outside after being stuck inside all day, losing my mind due to anxiety. I assumed she meant she was gonna sell books at some place and promote our library, as she works there, so I was really excited to get outside of my boring town and go to some place where possible

But turns out... it was just us buying books at a church... So, everyone there was a dinosaur compared to me... (╥_╥) I was still excited though as they sell CDs and DVDs! I rummaged through there for a while and got:

Dvds:
Entire Twilight movie series

Little Miss Sunshine

Moonlight

the perks of being a wallflower

Hoodwinked

Paranorman

Frankenweenie

I got Twilight, Paranorman, and Frankenweenie as it's spooky season and I want more movies to watch. Having physical media helps me remember they exist, so I hopefully don't forget to watch them! I've already seen Hoodwinked and Little Miss Sunshine and thought they were funny, which is why I picked them up. I hear everyone rave about The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and how good and relatable it is, so I thought I'd get it cause why not!

As for Moonlight, I'm not sure how I found it there!  It's a very sad and moving romance story from what I've heard. I love angst and dramatic stories, so I've wanted to watch this for a while. It's also about adulthood, adolescence, and sexuality, so I'm sure I could connect with it. It has "6 Golden Globe nominations" according to the cover...I'm assuming that's really good!

Okay, so update: it's won 237 awards and 3 Oscars, which I didn't even know was possible... o_o I don't even know what an Oscar is, honestly! Why do all these movies keep winning an old guy named Oscar! So I'm really excited to be depressed about this movie for a week! ^_^

CDs:

Images and Words by Dream Theater (For a friend)

private times in public places by slowsix

Riviera by BHTM

The entirety of The Sims 2 on cd rom

I don't know anything about the albums I got, but I'm always willing to try out new albums and bands! I got into the entire genre of trip hop by thrifting a CD! I got the slowsix album because it was really the only emo/metal looking album there, and the Riviera album because the cover had a sad midwest emo vibe to it... And the band name is so weird!

I got some books too but don't feel like mentioning all of them. Notable ones being: A small book with pasta recipes in it, a book of people reviewing/rating their pet cats, and The Zen of Zombie: Better Living Through the Undead by Scott Kenemore. I'm excited to read the zombie book the most, as I love zombies and want more media related to them! It sounds really funny!
