i hate shipping costs

picture this: little old innocent me listening to hyperyouth by joey valence & brae on my speaker and realising that i'd need to get the cd to keep listening to it at uni. no problem. i'll simply get it online. can't be too expensive, plus it'd be nice to add them to my collection:) 

i proceed to go to the official store and boom i was right. its in my budget. now £10 is a bit more pricey than the usual cds that i buy, but hey. its new. lets live a little ╮ (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.) ╭

all thats left is shipping. cant be too bad right? its a small parcel. not heavy. thin. shouldn't be more that a fiver.

ELEVEN POUNDS. ELEVEN GREAT BRITISH POUNDS. ELEVEN POUNDS TO SHIP ONE 12X8cm RECTANGLE TO THE UK. ARE YOU HAVING A LAUGH? NO REALLY ARE WE BEING SERIOUS? IS THIS REAL LIFE? IS THIS THE WORLD I WILL HAVE TO BRING MY CHILDREN INTO? A WORLD WHERE THE COST OF SHIPPING IS MORE THAN THE ACTUAL PRODUCT.

however despite me horror i sadly realised that i am but a slave to own desires and thus succumbed to the wretched capitalist society that we live in. and just like that £21 departed from my bank account. the most expensive cd i've ever bought. ദ്ദി ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ )
