i hate the current algorithm and all the AI slop bullshit

i really don't like how social media has become addictive in the last several years, and even especially since ai became mainstream. ai has gotten so refined that even i'm fooled at times. it's like all the companies in charge of social medias (snapchat, tiktok, facebook) is just pouring all sorts of crap into people's minds regardless of the consequences. excluding ai, social media is still full of brain rot, filled with ragebait, clickbait, and fear mongering (although i do acknowledge there are some good content creators like the puppers Tucker - RIP my floof dude). i didn't have social media before the algorithm took over but i ache to experience something where friends posted instead of getting shit that doesn't matter in the long run. i vaguely remember bits and pieces of the old internet and it's way different than it is now. i remember when ads weren't shoving themselves into my face and greedy for any money. i've had to leave several sites (like wattpad) because of not only censorship, but the ridiculous amount of ads and urges to get pro or premium levels. uggghh its so irritating!
