Finally got a break today. This week was, at least for me, pretty hellish. Trying to come up with ideas for graphic design (I'm taking a university course for it, it is pretty fun) while juggling both my social life and my mental health has been pretty tough, but at the same time it isn't anything I'm not used to.
I've been reading Robert Pollard's biography "Closer You Are" recently. Real interesting stuff. There's a lot in it that I know already (he liked to run his mouth about whatever was on his mind while he was on stage), but at the same time there's a lot of stuff that's completely new to me. Plus I don't mind hearing about how much he hates "Hold On Hope". That song blows.
Additionally I listened to "Ghosts of the Great Highway" by Sun Kil Moon a couple of days ago. Depressing as hell! "Duk Koo Kim" (named after a boxer who died in the ring) is a favorite; turns out it's actually a Red House Painters song and that's probably why I immediately loved it.
