I have spoken about my love for writing, specifically journal's and fan fiction but I do indeed have a undying love for books!
I honestly have a tremendous fear of books being eradicated and well... in some countries, books are banned for certain contents in the books even if they are entirely banned for the stupidest reasons (or for the fact that they don't want people to have free thinking and or to be informed.) I honestly, with all of my heart, wish people would have the passion for reading like they used to as children, I used to secretly stay up at night reading and one time I got caught and my parents informed my teacher as a joke. Although, now I can read at 4AM with no care and honestly if I can't sleep some days I will just read and fall asleep right away after a chapter or two!
What also fears me is most children (in the west) are stuck on technology and have no interest in learning or reading books (I'm speaking for a majority) and honestly I blame the parents. Within my family, I see some of the young ones always playing on the iPad's but I NEVER SEE A SINGLE BOOK IN THE HOUSE, which scares me!!! My mother used to force me to read many of my books to her and honestly I thank her for that because now my vocabulary has increased and I've become more empathetic. (can we also talk about people who ONLY like reading dialog and skip everything else ugh...)
Recently I have been reading 1984 - George Orwell, I haven't been able to read much during university but I did read on the bus or on breaks when ever I could. I am near finished the book and planning to finish it tonight but I will be planning to finish my other books by Albert Camus (my beloved favorite author) and perhaps finish my other classic's that I had left on read BUT I also have to finish reading Project Hail Mary, which I started after watching the movie.
ANYWAY, read please I beg you!!! AAAAAHHHHH ༼;´༎ຶ ༎ຶ༽
Okay love you bye! :)

Me to, but I'm a bit of a slow reader. I just got done reading Wonder. I think some kids would really like that book and the movie because it is sad to see kids on their iPads. I can't blame them though I was there to just scrolling away because it's so addicting, but I'm hoping they stop and realize it's NOT good for them as they age older.
Nice blog!
No shame in being a slow reader! Most of the time my books take about 1-2 months of finishing depending on time or how long the book is :) Its all about the journey!
I totally agree with you, I hope children in the future realize what is going on and try to minimize phone use!
Thank you :D

i need to take advantage of reading more, used to be so commonplace back during school!
And its a great way to start conversations as it used to be a common way of being a conversation starter way back then :) I hope you have fun reading!
