I need advice on if I’m being too much :’)

So my friend likes to spam me occasionally (top numbers of content have been 40ish+ videos) all at one time 

I do work nights and this means I sleep a good part of the day so I’m not sure if it’s all at one time exactly but regularly when I catch the notifs it seems pretty back to back 

When sometimes as I’m replying they will send me up to 5 in that typing time and ignore my responses and sometimes even my actual or earlier texts till much much later

I do also occasionally get in the mood to spam people, my boyfriend for example I def will send up to 10 TikTok’s or something if I’m high maybe even some reels (it’s usually all edits, art, or animals so stuff we both are super interested in) 

However my friend from the first section just sends me random stuff I’m not really into (like sometimes it’s just AI?? And they know very well how much I hate ai and supposedly they do too??) 

Anyway my overall question was:

Is it really so uncommon to want genuine responses and actual connection when doing this or is it usually just people sending things to send things (digital hoarding almost??) 

Idk sometimes I feel like I don’t even exist to the first friend unless we’re in person bc so many of my messages just get lost or ignored and my opinions of things are never heard unless I’m in person. They also rarely respond to my videos/posts I send them. 

To add as well, they once sent me a video saying “our friendship works bc we each respond to each message of others spamming” but they do not do that and regularly again don’t give me time to respond to theirs bc they send more as soon as im active online

Also sometimes I literally can’t even watch them as some are longer form and when I’m sent so many at once it takes over an hour to get through them all :(

I don’t want to come across as unappreciative btw, I’m glad they think of me and send me things when I’m not around!! <3 

I just wanted to know if IM the weird one for wanting to respond to them all, like am I annoying for that? :’)
