Alr so, I've been seeing this trend around tiktok a lot where basic ahh girls only paint a strand of their hair or do a peakaboo which can be hidden easily, and they r "lipsyncing" the lyrics "I'll slit my own throat..."
If u wanna dye ur hair ts bad do more!
And the comments r always like "Alt ppl hating" "Alt ppl being mad" "alt ppl blah blah blah blah" I even seen a comment that at the end said:
"if u have nth nice to say, don't say anything at all"
Which to me translates to:
"if u have ur own opinion on things and its not positive or glazing the person who posted the video, then stfu"
Also one that said "y are alt ppl so toxic? This is the community that's supposed to be supportive!"
My take on this whole thing is alt ppl have the RIGHT to be upset that basic ppl r doing this trend after they've been bullied by them for having coloured hair. Some of their wasnt even noticeable, like come on. Obviously that hair dye won't be shown on DARK hair, dumbasses.
I, myself, also judge the FUCK out of basic ppl when I see them til they prove themselves to be alr ppl, it rarely happened, most of them r still assholes. -_-
And the whole: "Alt community should be the most supportive!" is bullshit. Look back to ACTUAL alt ppl in the 2000s and before. Racist, homophobic, etc etc.
Im not saying u have to be like this to be alt, it's a good thing at least THIS changed in the community, but this doesn't mean that alt ppl r all lovey dovey. The "alt" these ppl r describing r the ppl from 2020 who made alt into this "wholesome, lovey dovey, cutesy, safe place".
Alt ppl can be kind and sweet, yeah, but mostly no, and this is the truth ppl have to accept. Y ppl acting like alt ppl r these "perfect angels" when no one is?
The whole thing is, for me the trend wasnt the annoying one, it's the ppl in the comments. Ppl can look however they wanna look, do whatever they wanna do, but prepare to be judged, even when u're basic. Every ppl will be judged, and this is the wonderful world we live in.
But fr, dont be a fucking pussy and DYE UR HAIR!! AT LEAST MORE NOTICEABLY!!
Ps: ppl who say "alt became the new basic" js straight up lying bruv, that's only on the internet. Go outside sometimes.

no hate but what if they want to dye their hair only a strand and or peakaboo..? cuz I only dyed my hair a strand because I wanted a strand and it was inspired by a character who had a green strand
edit: you also can’t presume all these people have bullied alt people for having colored hair, I get there’s definetly some cases of people doing this trend who are like this, but like how it’s unfair to stereotype alt people, it’s unfair to stereotype basic people.
