Relationships are all about compromise. Listen to your partner's wants but always remember your own boundaries, and work something out that'll satisfy you both.
Imagine there's 15 lasagnas on the table. I want to eat all 15, obviously, but Arlene wants me to eat an enormous salad she made for me. I don't want to eat the salad, and Arlene doesn't want to eat the lasagna. So we eat half of each together.
That's how relationships work. Split the lasagna down the middle, and if you want more, ask. Don't be selfish, but keep boundaries.
