I was victim to robbery YESTERDAY, let me explain!

Im gonna warn you, this is gonna be long. But Bro, yesterday was very interesting, I was volunteering all day from before opening to closeing time at an event at the zoo i regularly volunteer at. (I wanna say the staff there in this time of crisis was amazing and I'm forever greatful for them and they are one of the many reasons I call that place home) anyway a little after 3pm, 4 tall guys in all black swarmed me at a booth I was alone at. The reached for my purse and phone but thankfully I was able to get it before they could, but they did start harassing me and stole stuff that thankfully wasn't personal belongings but still wrong to do. They then went to my friends booth and took her bag. I was scared shitless, my friend was just in shock. I immediately called over an employee and explained to her what happened, then hell broke loose, she radioed pm security, they came to me and I explained the situation, I was clearing getting anxious. I'm forever greatful for my coworkers for keeping me laughing and smileing through that whole time. I discribed the group to DK security. They immediately went to hunt for them and protect my friend. An employee I'm chill with who is dressed as a literal clown for halloween heard and he was super pissed so he ran off to find the guys. Soon enough I was on the phone to explain to the director of the zoo what happened. Then someone escorted me to the front of the zoo but still inside the gates to keep me safe along with my friend. Again, they kept me laughing and was supporting me through the whole thing. I got to where the head of HR was and the volunteer coordinator who I'm very close with. They protected me and kept me filled in until the end of my shift. Turns out that guy I'm chill with that was the clown had to be convinced not to jump those guys and not to loose his job because he was so pissed that happened to me because iv been volunteering at the zoo for 3 years in almost every department and was very cherished there. They found those guys immediately and turns out they where terrified because they got caught. HR told me that they are going to have a debrief meeting to talk over this with ALL EMPLOYEES to change guidelines and rules to make sure something like this never happens again! (Keep in mind that means my work crush and supervisor for animal care will hear about this too) those guys who did that were apparently part of a job school and got away from their teacher and did this to all the booths but it was me and my friend that got the bad end of it and were alone at the booths separated so they prioritized us because we were the most likely to be in danger because we reported it and we got the most severe end of it. They got a permanent ban from the zoo and will probably get kicked out of job school. Police were not called because it wasn't to that extent which honestly I'm glad about. I got walked to my ride by an escort to keep me safe and definitely have some processing to do. The thing I wasn't expecting was the fact the brand new ceo of the zoo got called, a circle of 8 security guards, and all of admin was there dealing with it. I'm forever greatful for everyone who helped me and kept me smileing and laughing. I'm a little traumatized considering my previous fear of men already due to past trauma and anxiety slowly building up every time a new person got involved, but im so happy those people where there for me. I'm just curious on how this Saturday is gonna go because the whole zoo staff is going to know about this including the keepers that I work with or are chill with. I guess I'll find out soon lol.
