I hope it's not just me because sure, phones can be useful but they're also creating so many problems. Because of how overstimulating phones can be, people don't really have that big of an attention span anymore. Whenever my dad and I are in the car, he'd pull out his phone to pull navigations up or something and he just looks at all of his social medias and text messages instead of immediately putting on gps. Sometimes, he wouldn't even have a reason to pull out his phone other than because he's bored. And I don't blame him because sometimes I'm like that too, which is why I have recently just stopped taking my phone all together and replaced it with a digital camera instead since I love taking pictures. My point is, recent cell phones have been nothing but a cash grab with algorithms to lure you in so you spend more time using it. It's unhealthy and could even be dangerous. I just want people to be able to sit through a car drive or a movie without pulling out a phone not only because it's unhealthy, but it's also kind of rude, ESPECIALLY in the movies.
Anyways, I just wanted to rant about this for a little bit. Bye!

my dad will look at his phone WHILE hes driving. like on the freeway tyring to find a tiktok his brother sent him. its so scary, espeically because i have bad anxiety and i've told him to not look at his phone.

Yea I agree phones nowadays kinda suck
I'm only on my phone because of Pinterest are chitchatting with friends etc but that's about it I bring books and a small sketch pad to keep me off my phone tho!

Btw, I'm not trying to demonize phones in any way. I just think that encouraging corporations to keep on advertising these unhealthy behaviors is not okay and that we should try to limit the amount of time we spend on our devices (not to sound like an old person lol).
