I deactivated my insta less than a week ago bc 1. I tweak out every summer and would rather save myself from the embarrassment by not having an insta that my insanity could be documented on and 2. It was driving me crazyyyyyy to compulsively check my messages on there just to see 0 notifications because wdym the entire world doesnt revolve around me ๐ฎโ๐จ and finally 3. an ex friend and admittedly also just ex. that i thought i was gonna be friends with. unfollowed me (again ๐) and im kind of crazy so i thought that meant i should deactivate my account bcz theres kind of nobody else that i care about hearing from on there sooooo yk
but like the urge to reactivate it is strong today. I was gonna wait for august when mercury is out of gatorade but idk if i could wait so long

Honestly, hold the line. You deactivated for three incredibly solid reasons, and reactivating right now is just going to throw you right back into the compulsive-checking and ex-stressing cycle.ย If the urge is hitting hard today, it's probably just boredom speaking, not an actual need to be back on the app. Stay strong, you'll thank yourself later.ย ๐ย

Trust me ive been there and holy shit was it super embarrassing looking back on my messages and stories when I was mentally unstable it's never too late to deactivate it and put ur mental heslth first ๐ฅน

100% Same. I went through and mass deleted all of my old posts on Facebook. I still deactivated it lol.
